Tips for visiting Cusco

By taking a Spanish course at Mundo Verde, you gain language skills and make a positive impact on Peru`s environment and people.

Your tuition contributes to both Mundo Verde`s rainforest conservation project and our treatment programs for the needy at local hospitals.

San Francisco Religious Festival in Tinta, Urcos and Maras

November- 01
Day of the living, the locals have a traditional plate "lechon" (baked baby pork)

November- 02
Day of the Dead, people visit their passed out relatives at the local cemeteries. AT this month there is this traditional belief of baking and selling bread in the sahpe of dolls for the girls, weel known by the locals as Tanta Wawa and in the shape of a horse for the boys, known as "Pan Caballo"

December - 24
"Santurantikuy", (Let's buy statues of saints) A traditional market day before Christmas Eve.
