RURAL SPANISH

 This
course is designed especially for nature lovers and takes
place at Millaza Andean Park in the very Apurimac Canyon
near Cusco and the great Salkantay Mountain. Our students
will have the privilege of watching condors from our school,
which fly over us all the time as this is the last refugee
for the condor near Cusco and of course Machu Picchu. Why go
to Colca Canyon in Arequipa to watch condors when you have a
better view from our school, whilst simultaneously learning
Spanish? Besides the condor watching in Cusco, students will
enjoy other activities such as horse back riding and fishing.
The students will also get the chance to observe the local
fauna and will be accompanied by their teacher throughout
the trip, thus being exposed to Spanish at all times.
 Day1:
Arrival in Millaza and dinner
Day 2: First
thing in the morning: condor watching during breakfast and
Spanish classes. In the afternoon we will go riding and have
dinner at the end of the day.
Day3: Students have breakfast
and then begin their Spanish lessons. After lunch, the next
exciting activity will be FISHING down the river. Dinner and
camping (optional)
Day 4: Breakfast, Spanish lessons and lunch. In the
afternoon we will play sports including SAPO (toad) a
traditional Andean sport, where the player has to insert a
metal coin into a metal toad’s mouth. Dinner follows after a
rest.
Day 5: Breakfast, Spanish lessons, lunch. We ride to a
nearby village so that our students can observe the way the
local Andean inhabitants live. They will spend the afternoon
visiting this village and villagers. Return to our school
and dinner.
Day 6: Breakfast, Spanish lessons and lunch. Free afternoon so that
our students may do what they want, e.g. riding, walking,
sports, etc. Dinner obviously follows.
Day 7: Following breakfast, we
will departure from the school. We will walk down hill for
approximately 4 hours have lunch at Cunyac. During our walk
we will be able to see the local fauna. Soon after lunch we
will take our students to Cconoc, where we will spend a few
hours enjoying the landscape and the beautiful hot springs.
At approximately 5 p.m. we will return to Cusco.
